The Adventurist

If you are, or have ever dreamt of being, an alpine mountain climber or all around outdoor enthusiast, Jason Hendricks’ The Adventurist is a blog you’ll want to read. Jason brings the world of outdoor adventure into your home daily (often several times a day) by chronicling the lives and times of alpine climbers, hikers, and outdoor adventurers like himself.

The Adventurist – Why You Should Go

Jason’s blog is a must-read for people who share his passion for adventure, climbing and the outdoors. And being that his is among the top mountaineering and adventure blogs in the world, there’s a good chance those of you who share that passion are already regular readers of Jason’s.

Perhaps what is more impressive, though, is that The Adventurist is equally appealing to those of us who are—shall we say, less physically motivated (politically correct enough for you?)? Jason writes interesting posts that really let you see and feel the adventure through the eyes and ears of climbers and outdoorsmen and women from all over the world. He gives you the opportunity to learn things about the sport that you never even knew you wanted to know, including posts and first-hand accounts from premier climbers—like Alan Arnette of Mt. Everest fame (covering major climbs is one of the primary talents of the blog, including an almost 90-post account of Everest 2008).

Summing Up The Adventurist

Some of us are doers and some of us are dreamers, and even those of us who would never dream of climbing a place as inhospitable as Mt. Everest still feel a draw and some level of connection to it. For both types The Adventurist provides insight and interest into a world that only the doers can take you to. Join Jason and let him take you to the heights of the world, and go along with him, in his words, “From Mt Everest To The Poles: Exploring Adventure One Trip At A Time‚Ķ”

Brew Ha Ha…For The Love Of Beer

Brew Ha Ha

As the weekend approaches it’s nice to start thinking about kicking back with a cold one‚Ķor a few (and we’re always looking forward to the next weekend, aren’t we?). Here’s a blog to help you do that in style and appreciation of one of the world’s most favored off-time accessories.

Brew Ha Ha is, in case you haven’t guessed it by now, is a blog dedicated to beer and the love of it. It’s maintained by a husband and wife couple from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (that’s in the US for those of you ‘cross waters), Kelly and Chris Erb. Together, they share a love of spirits (actually just beer) and travel. These loves are combined for the benefit of us all, bringing us reviews, information, and commentary on beers and watering holes from around the world (recent posts include reviews of German biergarten).

Brew Ha Ha – Why You Should Go

It’s a blog about beer and relaxation. What more can we say?

We could say that it’s not just a blog about beer; it’s a blog about beer appreciation, enjoyment, beer drink recipes (did you know you could combine your love for a whole new cocktail?) and practical uses (like cooking and baking for instance). Kelly probably sums it up best: “Brew Ha Ha is about our global love affair with beer through the ages. It‚Äôs a little bit history and a little bit of culture with recipes, events and science mixed in. Of course, it‚Äôs a lot about beer.”

So go to find a new drink, read reviews of places maybe you want to be visiting, learn to make the most of any dish with your favorite bottle, or learn about where beer came from and where it’s going.

Summing Up Brew Ha Ha

Clearly there’s more to blog about beer than initially meets the eye. And clearly, Kelly Phillips-Erb and her husband Chris know a lot more about beer than your average beer drinker. Gain a new appreciation of beer from two enthusiastic aficionados. And as Kelly likes to say, “That‚Äôs right, chicks like beer, too,” so don’t let your gender prevent you from checking out this blog.
