We’ve had another week full of interesting blogs; some to inspire you to great health and others just for fun.  Check out what’s been happening here at Do You Digg It.

Week In Review, June 27, 2009

  • Our first blogger might be one of the few remaining to still be dedicated to her New Year’s Fitness goals.  Get some great tips and information from Dena White at the Health Kick Resolution Blog.
  • Next we went on just a little more about my ‘About’ page blogging pet peeve, but this time with a proactive stance to help you find ways and alternatives to the About page that work.
  • Next stop: Bytes and Hertz, a top-notch resource and introduction into the amateur or ‘ham’ radio hobby. An excellent resource for hobbyists and newcomers alike!
  • Back home to restyle your living space, check out this blog that’s all about the French country style ,decorating, and French and European antiques.  Join Shawn to learn and explore Country French Antiques.
  • You can never have enough good health, or enough good health resources.  Joe Eitel’s Promote Health blog is a health information blog of the highest quality–read it and live well!
  • To add a little fun and humor to the week, don’t miss out on this blog, Day of X.  If you ever wanted to know what arbitrary day of recognition it is, this is your place.

And of course, there were more great reviews and discussion last week, and you can catch up on all of them in last week’s Recap Review.

Recap Review, June 20 Edition

We had another excellent range of blogs and topics to discuss this week.  Did you miss any of the the thought or fun?

Week In Review, June 20, 2009

  • Who said school is boring?  Karen Braun wouldn’t say that–she’s putting the “spunk” in homeschooling and providing some excellent news, commentary, and related resources at Spunky Homeschool.
  • For even more fun, stop by Valerie’s Frugal Family Fun Blog.  As you might have guessed from the name, not only does she have excellent suggestions for new fun and entertainment, but they won’t break the bank, either!
  • Nona Nita might enjoy some of those frugal family-friendly activities as she enjoys her time with her grandchildren, although it’s obvious from her enlightened grandparenting blog that she has plenty of great ideas all her own!  You can see them at Nona Nita’s Grandparenting Blog.
  • Taking a break from the blog reviews, next we started up a discussion of our own, inspired by Karen Braun.  Chime in the fun and tell us what your blog pet peeves are!
  • Our final stop of the week was to a deeply insightful and resourceful blog for personal development and change.  The Change Blog has what it takes to help you change your life for once, for all, and for good!

And of course, there were more greats last week, so be sure to stop in and check out last week’s Recap Review if you haven’t already!

Recap Review, June 14 Edition

We’ve had a quirky, awkward, sketchy, positive kind of a week here at Digg It…and that’s not even all of it!

Week in Review, June 14, 2009

  • To kick the week off, we had a little fun at the expense of the celebrity set.  Thank you Snarkstress for dishing the snark so well!
  • Checking off our list, we visited the List Maven–a fun place to get things done and have some laughs, list style!
  • To find what we’d been missing, we wandered over to the Uncovering The Internet blog, where we were introduced to some of the best and most entertaining of the web (including our next blog review).
  • Yes, we can credit Uncovering with pointing us toward Awkward Family Photos, a blog name that says it all.
  • On to more intellectual pursuits, we discovered the fascinating world of Egypt, past present, and an eye to the future, at Egypt Then and Now.
  • We couldn’t stay away from our humorous mood for long, and so we stepped right back in style to the That’s So Sketch blog.
  • And to make sure we got your weekend and new week off on the right foot, we ended our week of reviews at Positively Present, a resonant blog that gets you living well in the here and now for a better and brighter future.

Last week saw some excellent blog reviews, too; be sure to check out last week’s Recap Review for more fun and interest!

  • Next stop was to Heather R’s kitchen and Chocolate Bytes where she’s cooking up and celebrating the best of tasty chocolate treats, and sharing a general love of the stuff!

Recap Review, May 17 Edition

Another week of excellent informational and entertaining blogs, so let’s jump right into it!

Week In Review, May 17, 2009

  • review-calendarWe kicked off the week with a little incentive program of our own, discussing why it is a good idea for you to submit your blog for review to us here at Do You Digg It.  Rick Dendy took advtange–what it did for him?
  • What Rick’s initiative got him was the first formal blog review for the week–a review of his blog, Online Marketing Pundit where he shares his knowledge and passion as a self-described “web marketing geek.”  Don’t worry, Rick; we can relate around here :) .
  • Rick’s blog led us eventually to Matt Cutts’s blog, Gadgets, Google, and SEO, where he is sharing insight learned from study and work in computing and internet.  See what juicy bits Matt has to share from behind the scenes of Google itself!
  • Jennifer Long is inspiring us all with both her dedication to greener living and her pursuit of happiness as she moves from the concrete jungle to the real jungle of Costa Rica and her beautiful soon-to-be-early-retirement coffee farm!  This Girl’s Gone Green for sure–see how she’s living her dreams as large as life!
  • To live the good life of your dreams you have to take care of yourself so you’ll be around to do it.  Personal Health Answers is just the blog the doctor answered!  Get motivated to better health and get some of your own personal health questions answered here.

That’s our week all wrapped up in one tidy post; if you missed last week’s blogs, be sure to see those reviews, too at the May 10 Recap Review.

Recap Review May 10, 2009

I must apologize for the inconsistent nature of posts lately.  We’ve upgraded the blog and had to work out some kinks, which means I’ve been a little off schedule.  Because of this, today’s Recap Review is going to go back a bit farther than usual.  But hey!  Look at all the great blog reading you can do this weekend!

Week In Review May 10, 2009

Our last weekly review was all the way back on April 25.  From there, we enjoyed visiting all of these blogs and sites:

  • review-calendarWe featured About.com for their Web Logs page, a place to learn and grow your blogging talent.  There’s lots of great blogging information at About.com Web Logs.
  • Our next stop was Subjectify, a photography and review blog focusing on the subjects of modern protraiture–a unique take and photoblog.
  • David and Lisa Wood’s Our Path To Prosperity was our next stop.  This is a couple committed to achieving wealth and happiness, together, and delivering a blog packed with wealth creation resources.
  • Next we took advantage of Anne’s Virtual EBook Library at Informative EBooks–a place where you can find Ebooks on all manner of subjects, and help writing and promoting them too!
  • Our latest stop was the Mimentum blog, a blog delivering real-world advice for education, business, online information, and more.

That’s it for the last couple of weeks, we’ll return to our regular schedule with more and more great blog reviews in short order!

Recap Review, April 25 Edition

It was quite a mixed bag of work and reviews here at Digg It this week.  We checked in to see how some old blogs were doing, celebrated Earth Day, and found some new fun and exploration, too.

Week In Review, April 25, 2009

  • To start the week, we took advantage of the quarter-year point to check in on the New Year’s resolutions blogs from the beginning of the year.  While Christine Kane is still bombing along, others fared not as well.
  • We got a little personal with the next post, sharing our personal resolve success and checking in on Sean Rasmussen’s progress on his publicized New Year’s Goals while asking the question: “How Is Your Resolve?” (do stop by and share!).
  • Sean’s working vacation to Vanuatu was inspiration for the next post, which reviewed a network site for diving blogs, sharing the love and beauty of the deep blue sea.
  • The next day brought us to Earth Day and another kind of dedicated blog network, the Earth Day Network of blogs.  This is a place where Earth Day is celebrated all year long, striving to make sustainable living and preservation a part of every life.
  • To follow up on that great score, we dugg back into the Digg archives and renewed attention to some of our all-time favorite “green” blog reviews.
  • To complement the last two, the week rounded out with a celebration of life on Earth through pictures at A Photo A Day from Planet Earth.  This is a true global community effort giving you the opportunity to explore more of the world through contributor lenses.

That’s a busy week for sure.  Hope you didn’t miss any of the activity from the week before, either, but if you did, here’s a link to last week’s Recap Review.  Keep the blogs submissions and suggestions rolling, and we’ll do the same with great blog reviews!

Recap Review, April 18 Edition

It’s been a heartening week full of awareness here at Do You Digg It.  It started with an inspiring collection of stories from a young girl with autism, and grew to a theme of its own from there.

Week In Review, April 18, 2009

  • Actually the week started with Easter well-wishes, including an update on Sean Rasmussen’s internet marketing seminars and travels.  Tough to keep up with that one!  Enjoy our belated Easter message, or as the case may be for some of you, consider it timely if you celebrate this week!
  • The official blog review kick off for the week found us at Amy’s Short Stories blog.  Amy is that inspiring, insightful young girl I mentioned who is teaching all of us through her blogging, writing, and outlook on life.  Be sure to stop in and meet this young talent.
  • Amy’s blog led us to several others of similar interest, focusing on increasing the awareness of autism and spectrum disorders, and in supporting and educating others.  The next blog, Beautiful Spectrum, is one of these blogs, a true celebration of the diversity of life.
  • Faces of Autism is an equally informative and compelling blog.  It is just as it sounds, a photoblog celebrating the diversity of life and increasing understanding through photos and artwork.
  • The next site is dedicated to special needs, including a large segment of autism-related works, but has a bit broader topic, too.  5 Minutes for Special Needs is a blog supported by an expert and experienced team of writers dealing with special needs in many forms, and offering both education and support.
  • Our final blog review for the week was a visit back to a blogging friend we reviewed last year, the inspiring Glenda Watson Hyatt.  Glenda is an amazing woman doing amazing things in the face of insurmountable odds given her diagnosis of severe Cerebral Palsy.  It’s hard to maintain a poor mood when Glenda is around!

That rounds out our week here at Do You Digg It.  In case you missed it, here is last week’s Recap Review of all the previous week’s works and reviews.
