CreditMom

CreditMom is your average mother of three boys making the best of life, love, and personal finance. Her blog revolves more around topics relating to personal finance than it does specifically on credit, while interweaving all of her life’s roles.

CreditMom - Why You Should Go

CreditMom has many posts of interest to people interested in learning more about personal finance and the regular topics relative to that like credit cards and the economics of personal finance. What really makes her blog stand out, though, is her dedication to children’s financial literacy and responsibility and other topics of import such as child ID theft, internet safety, kids and concerns over the economy, and kids and money. Her blog offers an array of posts on these and other subjects, making it a concentrated resource for parents dealing with how to raise their children as responsible, independent adults.

Summing Up CreditMom

CreditMom’s blog is of high interest for the conversation and discussion. Adding to that is her real-world, tried and true experiences with raising financially educated children. CreditMom is showing her readers that it’s never too early to think about and teach kids about money and finance, and she’s leading the way by example.

Any blog review site has to have standards for judging the blogs it reviews.  Thinking about the standards that blogs are judged by here at Do You DIgg It has me wondering how much they are in line with what our readers think the standards for a good blog should be.

How Do You Digg It Evaluates Blogs

Our blog evaluation standards are not complex.  We look for good quality blogs that offer useful information.  We focus primarily on the content and to a much, much lesser degree on the organization of the blog.  We strive to highlight blogs that have something of value to offer our readers.  Some of those are beautifully designed and coded, some of those are hosted on the simplest of blog platforms.

We look at blogs with an open mind and try to see them from all angles.  We strive for a diversity of offerings and work to appreciate all perspectives.  We don’t expect perfection, we just expect value.

From Our Readers

Now it’s your turn to tell us how that approach is working for you, and to offer us up some of your own opinions–what do you think makes a good blog?  How Important are the ‘extras” that a blog may offer?  what are the most important components of a worthwhile blog?

We’re here for our readers and we’re interested in what you have to say–so speak up!  Tell us what you think a blog should be judged on.

Success And Celebrations

There’s been a lot to celebrate around here lately. We’ve just recently posted our 100th Do You Digg It! blog Celebrate Digg and The Secretreview, which happens (truly by chance) to coincide with Sean Rasmussen’s release of The Secret Law of Attraction. In celebration, weekend posts featured some great success blogs, like Pastor Richard Onebamoi’s Self Improve Blog, a blog featuring the secret Law of Attraction and other classic empowerment and wealth and success writers. Today we’ll take a minute out to feature a few others from our blog review archives (and of course give you the link to the book, too!).

Blogging Success

Success, wealth, and personal development have been a primary focus of blog reviews here on Do You Digg It! Our very first post was one of those, in fact. Check it out here and read our review of AngesBiz, a blog dedicated to wealth and success.

To keep you growing and succeeding, here are some other blogs of interest as we celebrate success.

• B. Smith’s Wealth & Wisdom blog leverages Vincent Pareto’s 80/20 principle to clarify wealth and discover the secrets to success.
TR Coach will take you from where you are to where you want to be while exploring the theories of universal law that apply to wealth and success.
• Last but not least, we revisit our review of Benny Greenberg’s Ya-ttitude.com, one of our most inspiring and most popular, comment-provoking posts.

The Secret Of Success, A Freebie For Our Readers

We promised a link to the newest free success eBook from Sean Rasmussen, and here it is (courtesy of SeanRasmussen.com, Sean’s success blog—non-monetized for your enlightenment and reading pleasure).

Friday marked the release of The Secret Law of Attraction at the blog. This is a revised and updated version of the Wallace Wattles classic, The Science of Getting Rich. It’s been very well received and gotten some great positive comments thus far. Stop by Sean’s blog for your own free copy and let us know what you think!

Go to SeanRasmussen.com to download your free copy of The Secret Law of Attraction.

Great things are happening all around! Join us as we celebrate Digg It’s fledgling success, and get the goods to boost your own!

A World Of Literature And Topsyturvydom

TopsyturvydomWhere to Find Topsyturvydom:
Blog URL: http://spencro.blogspot.com/
Category: Literature, Reviews

Topsyturvydom

Rob Spence is a “Lecturer in English Literature, and a proud Mancunian” with the generosity to share his love of literature and fine works with the world. His blog, Topsyturvydom, is the place where he gets to reach beyond the confines of his lecture halls to bring his wealth of knowledge and insight to a much wider audience.

Topsyturvydom - Why You Should Go

Although many of us share an appreciation of the written word and of books in general, not as many of us experience either to the depths that we are capable of. Having dedicated his profession (and, it would seem, his life, too) to the great works of English literature, Rob Spence is very well positioned to help us develop that level of deeper appreciation. Of course, there are those, too, who share this already higher level of literary exploration, and for them Topsyturvydom is a place to meet with peers, a place to explore and discuss the works that Rob Spence presents through his many reviews and discussions of quality literature, while also offering up tidbits of musical appreciation and tales from his worldly travels.

Summing Up Topsyturvydom

Topsyturvydom is a place for meeting of the minds and also for learning, in a pressure-free environment, about what makes great English literature. Come here for the discussion and leave with [more than a] few good books and literary recommendations.

Go here to check out Topsyturvydom.

From EHarmony To Red Pine Mountain

Red Pine MountainRed Pine Mountain

In the quiet of the Red Pine Mountaintop in the US Northeast Kingdom, more commonly known as the US state of Vermont, is a transplanted southern girl who writes about finding love and a new life on the world wide web. That girl is Mountain Woman, who uses her blog as a place to show that love really is possible on the internet, and that healing from the past is possible, too.

Red Pine Mountain - Why You Should Go

Red Pine Mountain is best categorized as a personal blog, but it is also in part a lifestyle blog, as many posts illustrate the way of life of the northern mountain-dweller. The blog is more than, that, too. It is also Mountain Woman’s place of positivity and expression; “I focus on issues that are important to me and my personal growth. I try to be positive and this blog is a reflection of my point of view. I do know there are people who find this way of thinking unrealistic; syrupy, I’ve even heard it called, but if I allow myself to get mired in negativity, I won’t accomplish my goals. Every problem becomes insurmountable and the smallest step forward impossible.”

To this end Mountain Woman writes about topics such as faith and religion (including her journey from forced-childhood religion to disbelief and back to true faith again), love, the effects of negativity on the world, the stories of her life and reflections on life in general. These are stories that are offered in the spirit of camaraderie and sharing, not to preach or teach, but simply to discuss.

Summing Up Red Pine Mountain

Mountain Woman writes with care. She is open with her readers and respectful of opinions, truly welcoming her community into her life. Hers is a blog to read if you find yourself in need of a place to enjoyably contemplate life, or are in search of a friendly spirit to connect with on the web.

Go here to check out Red Pine Mountain.

Now that you know why there are never any negative blog reviews here, maybe you’re left thinking—”yeah, but there are so many great blogs you’re missing!” We couldn’t doubt in the least that that is the truth. As you might imagine, though, there aren’t enough hours in the day to explore and find all the excellent, deserving blogs on the net.

Really, Though—You’ve Got To See This Blog!

If that little voice in your head is screaming out at us that you know where there is a top blog that we’re missing (or maybe you’re talking to your monitor again? :) ?) then don’t keep it to yourself—do share!

We are happy to consider blog review requests and recommendations. We encourage your participation! As we’ve done in the past, we simply ask you to leave us a comment and a link to the blog. We’ll add it to the list of blogs to cruise and carefully consider it for review; and if it’s as good as you say it is, odds are great that you’ll be reading about it here in the near future!

I Don’t Know A Particular Example, But I’d Sure Love To See A Blog About…

You do not have to have a specific blog in mind to make a request. Even if you only know the topic that you’d like to see represented, we can accommodate and do the searching for the benefit of you and all of our readers. There are so many categories and topics of blogs out there, and many yet to be represented here. So tell us what we’re missing, and we’ll be happy to take that under careful consideration, too.

Submitting Blogs And Topics For Review

It’s simple to let us know what you’re thinking—just leave a comment below this post. Give us the link or the topic, and maybe a quick (optional) explanation of why you think the blog or topic deserves our attention. Everything gets considered, but we do ask that you recommend worthwhile blogs with good content in one form or another. Remember, this is an international effort, so blogs from anywhere are greatly appreciated (unfortunately, though, English is the only language that we can understand at this time, so they’ll need to be either English-based blogs or blogs with good translation).

As always, your efforts to help Digg along are greatly appreciated!

Entrepreneur's-Journey.com Yaro StarakWhere to Find Entrepreneurs-Journey.com:
Blog URL: http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/
Category: Blogging, Internet Marketing

Entrepreneur’s-Journey.com

Entrepreneur’s-Journey.com is the place where pro-blogger Yaro Starak shares his “down-to-earth advice for bloggers and internet marketers”. His Blog Catalog page describes his blogs as a place to “Learn how you can start your own blogging business and earn a full time income working part time.” This blog is one of his free information resources that lets you take advantage of his talents and earned wisdom in the areas of “Internet business, online marketing, blogging and life” direct from either his home office in Brisbane, Australia or his laptop as he travels round the world in true, free, internet-marketer style.

Entrepreneur’s-Journey.com - Why You Should Go

Yaro Starak is ready to admit that there are a lot of people out there selling informational resources for those interested in working online. But there is a vast divide between those that are truly useful and those who are just jumping on the supply bandwagon. Yaro, however, has the credentials to back up everything he lays out on his blog and everything that goes into his courses and programs. Yaro’s advice and instruction comes from his experience and rise to internet marketing success, not from an unproven affiliate marketing report based off the claims of fame of others. The separation makes a huge impact on ultimate success, and so if you want to be on the succeeding end of the internet gold rush, you have to go with a pro like Yaro.

Summing Up Entrepreneur’s-Journey.com

Yaro Starak has some excellent and very highly recommended blogging programs and materials that he sells through his affiliate programs and directly from his websites and blogs. This blog is an extension of that. This extension is well worth your time whether or not you are taking part in any of his other programs, as the free information he offers is the real deal, and applicable to a wide variety of internet businesses. Take in Yaro’s blog to learn more about the real opportunities of the internet, and to take advantage of that most profitable of investments—free information from the pros who know.

Comical Comments

How many times has this happened to you (quite likely on your very own blog)—you’re reading the comments on a blog post, and come across something so funny you’re stitched with laughter. And then you think, “I wish that more people would see this!” Because you know that a lot of readers skim the comments and add to the list, without necessarily reading the others. Or there are people who have already been by that will miss out on a later comment funny. Or the comment is just so entertaining that it deserves a wider audience in general.

If only there was a way to share all that wit with the rest of the world…

And now there is! Welcome relative newcomer Comical Comments to the blogosphere.

Comical Comments - Why You Should Go

Comical Comments creator (who sadly remains nameless on the blog) felt your pains of laughter, and decided that the most amusing on the web deserved a larger platform. And that is what Comical Comments is. It is a platform meant “to showcase the best, most original and comical comments left on blogs, comments responding to ones already posted, and comments posted on this website.”

Comical thoughtfully provides the back-story to the comment and a link to the subject blog post or article as warranted, and then lets loose with the best comment the piece generated. In the true spirit of highlighting the best, readers are also invited to submit funnies they find on their own, be it from their own blog, a website, or the blog of another. In turn, for your time you will receive credit for the post and a little link love back to your site and/or the original. Comical Comments makes it easy for you to submit, too, including a quick form on the Submit page.

Summing Up Comical Comments

The posts on Comical Comments are short and sweet, good natured, and entertaining. We can relate as blog readers to their origins, and appreciate the impetus behind this blog. This blog is an easy quick-stop on your blog rounds, one that offers a simple pick-me-up to help get you through your day.

Rocking Your Day With Dave Navarro

Rock Your DayWhere to Find Rock Your Day:

Category: Development, Productivity

Rock Your Day

No, not that Dave Navarro, sorry. No less inspiring nonetheless!

This Dave Navarro happens to be a life coach and expert in turning your successful life up a notch. He’s not your regular kind of rock star, but the kind that “sweats behind the scenes rather than on stage, kicking successful people’s asses so that they become even more successful. I’m a personal productivity coach who gets deep into the minds of people who have everything going for them but are hitting some speedbumps and roadblocks - and I pull no punches until they break past the limiting beliefs that are holding them back.”

So when you know you have what it takes, but just have a hard time connecting the dots, or suspect you have it, but need someone to kick you in the backside to confirm your suspicions, Dave could be the missing link that can take you the extra step of the way.

Rock Your Day - Why You Should Go

Dave Navarro has made an art of being productive. His blog is where he puts that art on display. He writes actionable posts dealing with the big productivity busters like time management, work/life balance, becoming an early-riser and loving it, and how to add hours to your day. His is a blog that is stirring some controversy over which laws do and do not work, so there’s a good chance you’ll find yourself in opposition to some of what he says, but it is also a blog that offers plenty of progress-inspiring action well-suited to conjunction with the laws that you hold as truths.

Summing Up Rock Your Day

Rock Your Day is full of many things, and leading the pack is a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, kicking attitude, and a tinge of humor. Just reading Dave, whether you agree in total or not, is enough to fire you up to want to do more.

Go here to check Rock Your Day.
