Upping The Ante For The Love Of Comedy

Dead Frog – A Comedy Blog

The name is a bit perplexing, until you read the E.B. White quote at the bottom of the page: “Analyzing humor is like dissecting a frog. Few people are interested and the frog dies of it.” That, in essence, is the inspiration behind Dead Frog – A Comedy Blog. The blog, written by Todd Jackson (whose claim to fame is 10+ years in the comedy business and positions that include Editorial Director for Comedy Central’s web arm and Managing Editor of Cracked Magazine) is an “attempt to raise the bar in how people talk about comedy.”

Dead Frog – A Comedy Blog - Why You Should Go

As writer Todd Jackson says, “Comedy is very binary by nature: funny or not funny. But there are shadings and, with some insight, an appreciation can be found for something that didn’t make you laugh before. Or even better, the next time you see a show or performer you didn’t get, you’ll laugh yourself silly.” Hence, reading this blog can help you expand your comedic horizons, and help you look at comedy from different vantage points. It’s like art appreciation, comedy style. And truly, the insights are interesting (as well as entertaining). The blog is a source of surprising food for thought into comedy and its place and affect on culture.

Just as importantly, though, the blog is just plain fun. There are plenty of laughs to be had in the videos, sketches, skits, and scripts, making this a place as much to be entertained as educated.

Summing Up Dead Frog – A Comedy Blog

It’s surprising how in-depth a subject can be, especially one, like Todd says, that seems so simplistic on the surface. Read this blog for a new appreciation of the world of comedy, and as an extra, a daily dose of funny.

Educating Others To The Splendor Of Yoga

Splendor Of Yoga

Our international blog reviews take us today to Chennai, India, where Satyanarayana C. maintains his blogs with a focus on wellness and healing. Splendor of Yoga is one of those blogs, focused on clarifying Yoga and situating it as a more understandable, beneficial form of wellness therapy.

Splendor of Yoga - Why You Should Go

There are plenty of exercise blogs, and even plenty of bogs focusing on Yoga. Many of these, however, give only a superficial explanation of what Yoga is and how we can benefit from it. Often times, even those superficial explanations are riddled with language that is difficult for the layperson to understand. Splendor of Yoga seeks to help people build that firm understanding of this beneficial health and healing practice so that people can learn to maximize their results and gain a better understanding of what it is they are engaging in, and how specifically the practice is helping them.

Summing Up Splendor of Yoga

Satyanarayana saw a need in people interested in Yoga practice, and recognized that he could help fill it. That is what he does with his blog, by breaking it down and detailing the finer points, while explaining the benefits, purposes, and practices of yoga. Much as we may understand that Yoga has provided some real health and wellness advantages, few of us know why that is so. To learn more about the actions, advantages, and mechanisms of yoga, visit this blog.

Wordpress Lets You Do That?

As Clint says, when you start looking into leading blog platforms these days one name comes up above the others—Wordpress. It’s a blogging platform favored for its customizability and SEO superiority. The thing of it is, few Wordpress bloggers are getting all that they could from the platform. Clint used to be one of those bloggers as he set off into Internet Marketing, but over time came to be quite well versed on the platform and its many possibilities. And the more he learned, the more he realized that there was a blogosphere full of Wordpress bloggers out there that just might enjoy benefiting from his new-found knowledge.

Wordpress Lets You Do That? - Why You Should Go

The name of the blog is very much indicative of its content. On this blog Clint offers up all the knowledge a Wordpress blogger could want. Posts range from the basic to the back-end to show you how to get online with Wordpress, and then optimize it for the best possible traffic. Given the range of topics, content, and posts, this blog is as good for the seasoned Wordpress blogger as it is for the newbie trying to figure out how to publish that first post, and a great resource for anyone considering switching blog platforms.

Summing Up Wordpress Lets You Do That?

There are many things that Wordpress lets you do that can make all the difference in your blogging and blog’s ranking. Clint has uncovered many of them, and generously shares them with you on his blog. Find out here how to make the most of your Wordpress blogging experience.

Courageous Ideas For Now And The Future

Intrepid IdeasWhere to Find Intrepid Ideas:

Category: Personal Development

Intrepid Ideas

Intrepid Ideas is a blog that promises to take you where your thoughts dare not let you go. It breathes life to the secret thoughts you wish would live with an energy and courage that few have. This blog is anonymously authored so that the focus can be on the thoughts, and less on the person thinking them; because the author truly feels that the blog and the process is not about him, but you, or at the very least, “us.”

Intrepid Ideas - Why You Should Go

Intrepid Ideas is a blog with a mission. That mission is, in part, to “…spread some fresh courageous ideas through this blog as well as create a somewhat cryptic archive of my travels and thoughts. Through music, media, and prose, I hope to stimulate thought - exercise my creative side - and solicit feedback from the human race. Most importantly, I hope to realize some sort of growth from this experience.” To this end it has been a great success. The blog offers a diversity of posts from the philosophical to the political, all offered as insightful rather than inciteful. That is to say, the blog is not an effort to sway politically, but rather to induce thoughtful consideration of all subjects broached.

Summing Up Intrepid Ideas

Intrepid Ideas is a blog about thought and ultimately action, as stimulating thought really has no point without the latter. It is a blog charged with energy, sure to get you more fired up about the impact of your own mindset and the courage to give life to thoughts otherwise left unsaid.

Success And Celebrations

There’s been a lot to celebrate around here lately. We’ve just recently posted our 100th Do You Digg It! blog Celebrate Digg and The Secretreview, which happens (truly by chance) to coincide with Sean Rasmussen’s release of The Secret Law of Attraction. In celebration, weekend posts featured some great success blogs, like Pastor Richard Onebamoi’s Self Improve Blog, a blog featuring the secret Law of Attraction and other classic empowerment and wealth and success writers. Today we’ll take a minute out to feature a few others from our blog review archives (and of course give you the link to the book, too!).

Blogging Success

Success, wealth, and personal development have been a primary focus of blog reviews here on Do You Digg It! Our very first post was one of those, in fact. Check it out here and read our review of AngesBiz, a blog dedicated to wealth and success.

To keep you growing and succeeding, here are some other blogs of interest as we celebrate success.

• B. Smith’s Wealth & Wisdom blog leverages Vincent Pareto’s 80/20 principle to clarify wealth and discover the secrets to success.
TR Coach will take you from where you are to where you want to be while exploring the theories of universal law that apply to wealth and success.
• Last but not least, we revisit our review of Benny Greenberg’s Ya-ttitude.com, one of our most inspiring and most popular, comment-provoking posts.

The Secret Of Success, A Freebie For Our Readers

We promised a link to the newest free success eBook from Sean Rasmussen, and here it is (courtesy of SeanRasmussen.com, Sean’s success blog—non-monetized for your enlightenment and reading pleasure).

Friday marked the release of The Secret Law of Attraction at the blog. This is a revised and updated version of the Wallace Wattles classic, The Science of Getting Rich. It’s been very well received and gotten some great positive comments thus far. Stop by Sean’s blog for your own free copy and let us know what you think!

Self Improvement For Normal People

Self Improvement JournalWhere to Find Self Improvement Journal:

Self Improvement Journal

Surely you’ve guessed that this blog, too, is one dedicated to self improvement. Chris’s blog is a bit different, though, being dedicated to self improvement but in a much more ground-up, growth-oriented fashion.

Self Improvement Journal - Why You Should Go

A lot of the success and improvement blogs that we feature here have at their heart the universal laws like The Secret Law of Attraction or the principles of wealth and success. This blog, too, includes posts of that nature, but it is also more rounded to include other topics like health, diet and exercise, community, and environment.

One of the most enticing things about Self Improvement Journal, though, is its development. This blog started off in true web log style, as a personal journal to share with others as Chris worked through the many aspects of self- and life-improvement. Watching that growth and the development of the blog lends a very personal and grounded feel to the blog, making it one that relates well with its “normal people” audience.

Summing Up Self Improvement Journal

Because Chris has been so open from the beginning with this journey of self improvement, the blog has morphed and grown in many ways. It is now largely a blog about wealth and success, but it has never lost its personal roots, or its very well-rounded nature.

Go here to check out Self Improvement Journal.

Power Points Of Self improvement

Self Improve Blog

We’re combining efforts this weekend to celebrate the release of Sean Rasmussen’s latest eBook, The Secret Law of Attraction. In celebration of its release Do You Digg It is featuring established and promising empowerment blogs, while continuing our efforts to expand our international blog rolls.

Today our combined efforts take us to the review of our first Belgian-based blog, the Self Improve Blog of Brussels blogger Richard Onebamoi (a blog migrated and combined from his original, Success Power Points). Richard’s mission through his collection of blogs is to “inspire your performance, expand your imagination, cultivate your dreams, help you discover, develop and maximize your God given potential.”

Self Improve Blog - Why You Should Go

Pastor Richard Onebamoi combines several aspects of self and faith in his works as a success facilitator. He brings a deep spirituality and faith, and marries them to leading philosophies and universal laws of success from both historical and modern perspectives. Inspiration for posts comes from people like Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, and the much recognized Anthony Robbins, as well as Richard’s own studies and experiences. These are balanced with practical articles and “how-to’s” for life and success.

Summing Up Self Improve Blog

Pastor Onebamoi’s Self Improve Blog is just one of the vehicles he uses to achieve his mission, but it is one of his collective works that has the widest appeal as a blog dedicated to self improvement, where it all starts.
