Time To Explore Your Personal Space

This Time This SpaceWhere to Find This Time This Space:

This Time This Space

“Allow yourself the time and space to let your mind wander and your imagination fly.”

This is the quote that you’ll find at the top of this blog by Timethief. It’s a fitting introduction to a blog dedicated to exploring the inner self, the world around you, and the potential that lies within both.

This Time-This Space is a part personal collection of thoughts and experiences of Timethief, who lives on a rural island and enjoys living the simple life, and part personal motivation and development blog. As the author says her interests lie in “mind, body, spirit, nature and relationships,” and her posts follow much along that line of focus in an effort to share her life as she hopes to inspire yours.

This Time This Space - Why You Should Go

Timethief defines personal development as, “the development of one’s capabilities and potentialities.” As she shows, there are many approaches to achieving this. The author brings together a diverse mix of topics to show the many paths to personal enlightenment and development, in a manner that is much as the author describes herself—”somewhat eccentric but down to earth.” It’s an intriguing way to approach personal development at a blog with plenty to offer.

Summing Up This Time This Space

Timethief broaches many topics on her blog related in some way to development and personal motivation. She doesn’t try to give all the answers, but tries to motivate you to at least consider the time and the space you are in, and then embrace it as a way to maximize your own personal potential. Hers is a blog devoted to both practical and spiritual life transformations, all in the interest of living the best life possible. Get yourself thinking about your time here, the space you live in, and your own personal impact upon it.

Go here to check out This Time-This Space.

Life as a Christian Woman

Reconciling religion and spirituality in the context of modern life is becoming increasingly difficult. For women this can be especially true, since many traditional translations of the Bible and religion are not supported by modern progressive rights and movements. Nevertheless, the need for direction and spiritual fulfillment is strong. How then, does a person, especially a woman, live both a modern and a Christian life?

These are the topics that Linda Williams explores in her blog, Life as a Christian Woman.

Life as a Christian Woman - Why You Should Go

Linda’s insightful posts are part Bible study and part personal reflection. She takes her readers on a path through religious exploration and Christian translation, and strives to carve a place where Christianity and modern life can still meet and coexist. She does this by discussing various possible applications of the Bible to modern life, as well as discussing what she sees to be the true intent of the Word of God.

In Linda’s blog, neither modern living or Christianity exclude the other. As Linda says, “Some topics are easy, such as Christ died for our sins. Others, like divorce, single parenthood, work, and submission to our spouses are more challenging.” But she still tries to make sense of it all; of course she also says, “Then there are days we just need a good laugh with God.”

Summing Up Life as a Christian Woman

Linda Williams sums up her blog best when she says that this blog is a place to “‚Ķlearn practical faith in an impractical world.” It’s a blog written by a woman, but with a message that all can use as they explore their own personal beliefs and spirituality in an arena that is not pressured or judging. That freedom of religious exploration is something everyone needs in order to enjoy a meaningful spiritual experience.

Gretchen Rubin The Happiness ProjectWhere to Find The Happiness Project:

The Happiness Project

Ever feel like there is just too much information out there telling you how to live well and prosper? Feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information and experts all trying to show you how to finally live well and achieve life happiness? Maybe Gretchen Rubin can help. The Happiness Project is a blog where Gretchen shares insight and thoughts gleaned from her year spent studying the best and the worst of happiness and self-improvement theory. She hopes to learn from that experience to offer up the most useful of it, and some valuable insight into the less than stellar.

The Happiness Project - Why You Should Go

Unless you are ready to give up on happiness, and we certainly hope you are not, you may need some help finding the resources that truly work to help you achieve it. Gretchen Rubin, Yale-educated lawyer-turned-accomplished author, spent a year of her life “test-driving every principle, tip, theory, and scientific study I could find, whether from Aristotle or St. Therese or Martin Seligman or Oprah.” Her latest work is a compilation of her experiences in the form of a book, also named The Happiness Project which is due out from Harper Collins in 2009. In it she will “gather these rules for living and report on what works and what doesn‚Äôt.”‚ĶHas the sound of a true guide for living, doesn’t it?
Just to add credit to her name and efforts, know that Gretchen Rubin has been recognized and interviewed by the professional media, including Matt Lauer from The Today Show and Brian Lamb from Booknotes; she’s also been profiled in The New Yorker’s ‘Talk of the Town’, among many others.

Summing Up The Happiness Project

In many ways you can think of Gretchen Rubin’s blog as a sort of sneak-peak at her upcoming book. The blog is, as she describes, a memoir of the year she spent studying happiness in its many forms and reincarnations. In addition Gretchen has offered many resources, including a Happiness Library, Wednesday Tip Day, and her 12 Commandments for Living (simple, yet inspiring). The blog is chock full with material, all of it focusing on the one most important thing in life‚Ķthe personal happiness of every individual! Think what a better place the world would be if we were all happy and got along‚Ķ

Ya-ttitude

Benny Greenberg, owner and author of Ya-ttitude.com, had one wish for his blog‚Äîfor it to be “an informal approach to positive attitude”. That is precisely what he’s achieved at Ya-ttitude. This blog is a place to go to lift your spirit and learn bit by bit how to live better and apply your positivity to success in both your work and personal life. And with Benny’s spirit and enthusiasm (something Benny’s really big on) to guide you, it’s easy to do.

Ya-ttitude - Why You Should Go

We all need more positivity in our lives. Most of us know that, but few of us are able to achieve it all on our own. In order to live in a continuous spirit of positivity it’s important to have tools and reminders. That is the purpose that blogs like Ya-ttitude serve; they work as a daily dose of inspiration to help us live in the now, with an attitude of possibility and success.

Ya-ttitude does that, and it also goes a step further. Benny Greenberg gives us our daily dose of insight, and he also marries it to real-life experiences. He shows us how to fight the fears and roadblocks of life, so that we can succeed in the face of all types of adversity and morale-busters. He does this in very practical and comprehendable ways, maximizing the impact of each and every message he delivers.

Summing Up Ya-ttitude

At Ya-ttitude, native New Yorker Benny Greenberg really is “defining attitude for the 21st Century”. Benny injects personality and humor into each post, and works to help the global community cure more of the ills that infect our attitudes in this modern age. Join Benny and his cyber-friends as we all work to combat our fears and criticisms, hurdles and hang-ups.

Category: Philosophy, Personal Development, Blogging

Revellian Dot Com

According to the blog’s title Revellian delivers
Psycho-linguistical Dialectology: From The Edge“. Not quite sure what that means? That’s okay; you’ll get the feel for it.

Revellian Dot Com is the work of Bobby Revell, a writer, blogger, spiritual explorer, guitarist, and practitioner of the art of luthiery (Got you again? Luthiery is the art of building guitars!). So what does Revell blog about? A bit of all of these things.

Primarily, Bobby Revell’s focus is to open the minds of others. He presents much about different philosophies of the world and draws from his many life practices and experiences to enlighten others. On his ‘About’ page Bobby describes his blog as a place where he posts “Lots of non-fiction articles about Zen, philosophy, the mysteries of human thought… [and] a weekly short story“. Sound intriguing? It is.

Bobby holds a strong belief in the power of blogs as an international platform capable of breaking down barriers of racism and ignorance. His inspiring definition of what blogging means to him makes you want to go write or start a blog of your own now; Bobby sees blogs as “a way to reach out to people all over the world enabling us all to share our individual expressiveness.

As an experienced blogger, Bobby also includes tips and information to help other bloggers, including beginners.

Revellian Dot Com - Why You Should Go

Revellian Dot Com is worth the trip for a number of reasons, but probably the best reason to go is the inspirational and mind-opening experience that is Revell’s blog. Bobby puts a lot of effort into posting information that gets people thinking and sharing in a spirit of education.

Although Bobby does not expect every blog visitor to agree with him, he does invite commentary and polite discussion. Given the somewhat debatable nature of some of the concepts he has introduced, Revell does an excellent job of opening the lines of discussion and communication without letting his blog descend into argument and insult. Revellian remains a place where all should feel comfortable offering their viewpoints without the fear of being pounced on. No doubt Bobby’s active presence in his comment area serves to keep visitors on their best behavior and maintain focus on enlightenment.

If this isn’t reason enough for you to go, consider this - Bobby Revell has built guitars for musical greats, including Eddie Van Halen!

Summing Up Revellian Dot Com

Revellian Dot Com is a place to expose yourself to philosophies old and new. This is a place where [religious] denomination has no meaning, a place to explore your spiritual side, pose questions and answers, learn about yourself, a bit about tech and blogging, be entertained by the fictional works of Bobby Revell, and become a member of an open and diverse community. Although I’d like to classify this blog under the category of “Blogging”, something makes me put it under “Philosophy”. Bobby Revell is fore sure a Philosopher.

Go and check out Revellian for yourself and digg it (if you like).

AngesBiz - Personal Development and Motivational BlogWhere To Find AngesBiz

Buzzing With Ange

AngesBiz is a blog dedicated to helping people help themselves. Ange is big on self empowerment, personal development, and personal and financial success. This is a place to go to open your mind to the possibilities within you, to learn how to enhance your thinking and develop the mindset of success that will help you make more of both your personal life and finances.

From Ange:

“My posts will revolve around Personal Development, Wealth Creation, as well as Emotional Intelligence and Financial Intelligence. There will also be some spiritual guidance tucked in there as well.”

AngesBiz- Why You Should Go

According to Ange’s main website, her mission is to inspire; her energy, acceptance, and openness do just that.

Buzzing With Ange is fun and upbeat (the way a blog dedicated to motivation should be!) with a wealth of diverse information and resource links related to her topics of personal development, success, self empowerment, and motivation. But don’t expect the same old ‘you can do it’ from Ange that you read everywhere else. Ange’s information comes from varied sources and takes on the issue of motivation and success using things like spirituality, the Law of Attraction, fundamentals of financial intelligence, emotional intelligence and more.

Refreshingly, Ange is not afraid to take on ‘taboo’ subjects that link all of life to success (like her post on sex & success). Ange interjects quite a lot of experience and personal failure and success, too, showing her readers that not only is she human and facing the same life obstacles as the rest of us, but she is walking, breathing proof that it can be done.

Summing Up AngesBiz

To sum it up, AngesBiz is a well established, active blog community (with archives reaching back to August 2006) that takes personal development to new frontiers, offering valuable motivation, support, and resources that are not overdone in empowerment circles on the net.

Go and check out AngesBiz for yourself and digg it (if you like).
